Pickup vehicles typically feature a five-seat cabin and a separate cargo area with high load capacity. This space is often covered with a flat lid or a raised canopy. When preparing a pickup for overland travel, the cargo bed should be organized to securely store essential expedition equipment.

This cargo system is designed to provide everything needed for safe and comfortable travel in demanding conditions.

Construction and materials

The system is made from waterproof plywood coated with a black anti-slip film. Multiple thicknesses of plywood are used to create a strong yet lightweight structure with an optimal strength-to-weight ratio.

Components are assembled using screws, rivets, and adhesives, then finished with automotive-grade synthetic upholstery. The materials are durable, easy to clean, and suitable for long-term use in harsh environments. Drawers can be cleaned with water, even in outdoor conditions.

The system features heavy-duty drawer slides with a load capacity of up to 120 kg. Each drawer includes a locking mechanism to prevent unintended movement. Inside, sound-dampening foam, adjustable dividers, and a removable anti-slip mat keep stored items secure and organized.

Installation

The system is mounted directly to the vehicle floor using bolts. Installation can be performed in our workshop or done independently without any permanent modifications to the vehicle.

Water system

The right side of the system is designed to house a 50-liter fresh water tank. The water system includes:

• self-priming pump with filter
• water outlet at the rear (for cooking use)

• shower head with hose

The water tank features an illuminated level indicator located on the side panel. The panel also includes:

• USB-C fast charger
• 12V socket
• additional switch

Refrigerator

The system includes a 35-liter compressor fridge (Yolco). The electrical setup allows the fridge to operate both while driving and when parked.

Additional storage space is available next to the fridge for taller items such as bottles or camping gear.
